BEFORE I BOOK THE CAR

Minimum rental period is 24 hours.

We do hold a deposit from our customers while they have a rental car. We need to see a valid credit/debit card on arrival, we will only hold the imprint of the card as a guarantee. If the renter does not have a credit card we do accept cash as well. Please be advised each car category has a different amount of security deposit which can be reduced depending on your rental package you choose(Standard-Flexy-Premium)

The driver´s original and valid driving license (same applies to additional drivers). Regarding foreign drivers license: We need the license with Latin Characters as we need to be able to understand the license. Information we need are: Issuing date, expiring date, Full name, driver´s license number

A valid credit card, if the renter does not have a credit card we do accept 16 digit number debit card.

Renter must be 23 years of age to rent Group B-DTo rent our larger cars or Luxury models the renter must be 25 years of age.

Credit card payment is the best option to pay for your rental vehicle when you book online. Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Union Pay, Discovery, Diners Club and JCB are valid.

The renter may also be able to book with a debit card if you have the online payment option available on it.

The renter, or someone traveling with the renter, also needs to submit a credit card on arrival when he picks up the vehicle. We require the renters to submit credit card but if you only have debit card we accept debit cards with a 16 digit number on the front.

All our prices in the basic package include

  • 150 km per day – an additional charge per km applies depending on the car category
  • Insurance coverage with exemption of own damages (depending on each category of vehicles)
  • Total theft protection insurance coverage with exemption (depending on each vehicle category)
  • 24/7 roadside assistance throughout the Greek territory with vehicle replacement in case of mechanical breakdown within 12 hours
  • VAT 24% and all local taxes.

We at Aeolos Car Rentals accept all foreign driver´s license as long as they are valid and can be read by our staff members (in English or at least with Latin characters).

If not make sure to bring an International Driver´s License/Translation.

All our customers can reduce their liability to zero by opting for our Liability Waiver.

It really depends on the car you are renting. The golden rule is that if you are renting the smallest option you can fit 2-3 medium sized luggage, medium-sized options carry 3-4 luggage and the larger options carry 4-5 luggage. This of course also depends on the size and shape of the luggage.

Keep in mind that when you rent a 7 seated vehicle and you have 7 passengers the luggage space is a lot lesser, so you only fit around 2-3 medium sized luggage depending on the size of the rental car.

Our 9 seated options, however, fit 8 pieces of luggage – no matter how many passengers!

AFTER I BOOK/RECEIVE THE CAR

Keep in mind that toll fees, parking fees and entrance fees charged in mostly highways and central roads in Greece . Make sure to pay when required in order to prevent being fined and/or charged related cost due to not paying when required.

If the vehicle you selected during the reservation is unavailable during pick up we will supply you with a similar model. We always guarantee the same, or higher, category. We, however, do not guarantee the brand and model.

Extensions are based on the availability each time. If the car is available, the extra charge is subject to the duration of the extension.

Early returning is always allowed. However, no refunds can be given for unused, or partly used, car hire vouchers unless the amendments or cancellations have been made prior to the pick-up date.

Yes, we offer 24/7 emergency breakdown assistance which means you can call our emergency line every day, 24 hours a day. The number is +302312201888

Aeolos Car Rental has service partners all around the country if something breaks down, or if something has to be replaced. If you have an accident or if the car breaks down we will, of course, replace the car with a new one as soon as possible.

Keep in mind that if assistance is required because of a breakdown or damage that is the driver´s responsibility Aeolos Car Rental will charge the renter a service fee. This fee is of course not charged if the assistance can be traced to a breakdown or damage on Aeolos Car Rental´s responsibility.

  • Cancel more than 14 days prior to the rental and get a full refund (100%)
  • Cancellation between 13 days to 3 days prior to the rental you will get refund of 50% of your reservation booking amount

  • In case of a nonshow or last day cancellation, we charge 100% of the rental amount.

CANCELLATION, RESERVATIONS AND EARLY RETURNS

Cancellation of a reservation must be done at least seventy two (72) hours prior to the scheduled date and hour of commencement of the vehicle’s rental (always according to the exact hour of reservation) in written form (email or text message) , as this has been made in the company’s booking system.

  • Cancellation notice which may be received by Aeolos 3 days prior to the rental starting date should get a full refund (100%) Available only at PRM Prices Packages

 

  • In case of a cancellation notice received by Aeolos less than seventy two (72) hours prior to the scheduled commencement of the vehicle’s rental, there shall be no refund of any amount that may have been prepaid.

If you have not cancelled and fail to come to the Aeolos rental location to pick up your rental car , any prepaid amount will not be refunded.

No refunds shall be given for unused days for rentals ended early (i.e. the customer returns the vehicle before the end of the agreed rental period) or late collections, if the customer fails to collect the vehicle on the rental start date or cancellations made after the due rental start date.

DELIVERIES

We at Aeolos Car Rental guarantee you Zero Waiting Time and Zero Contact Delivery if you go through our online check-in process before your arrival. There you get all the necessary information you need in regards to your rental, the car you booked, how to drive in Greece, and safety guidelines.

The only thing our customers need to do on arrival is pick up the keys from our staff, locate the rental car just outside our office and drive away into your Greek adventure.

Once you clear customs and enter the arrivals hall you will see a sign for Exit to Terminal 1. Our shuttle bus will be inside Parking P4 to take you to the Rental Car Area where you will pick up your vehicle. Quite convenient and easy to find.

Our Thessaloniki City office is located at Angelaki 23 in downtown Thessaloniki. It is very centrally located and easy to reach on foot for those staying in downtown.

Picking up from our downtown office is free of charge and the office is open from 08:00-20:00.

Aeolos Car Rental offers a drop off service in Thessaloniki City, Thessaloniki International Airport as well as directly at our offices at Thessaloniki Angelaki 23 and Thessaloniki Airport.
